We are Las Vegas locals that were traveling to the San Diego area for the first time for a concert, close to Del Mar. We wanted something close enough to the venue, but also close enough to the rest of the attractions San Diego had to offer. We chose this hotel solely because of the location. The hotel was amazing! It exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and clean. It had a microwave and a mini fridge, which is always appreciated. The pool was clean and heated. Plus the location was amazing. We were looking forward to staying near a marina and it was a nice experience with restaurants in walking/short driving distance. Plus it close enough to a lot of San Diego’s attractions without being in the heart of the city. But most importantly, the customer service was excellent. We were helped by Natyely, she was courteous and made our stay very memorable. She went above and beyond. She sealed the deal and we will definitely be coming back for all the reasons listed above.

This was my second time staying at Humphrey's - last time was for a quick weekend/boot camp promotion where I didn't get to enjoy the facilities much - and I'm so glad I came back! Gorgeous, private, lush layout with plenty of places throughout the property to enjoy activities or quiet. Breakfast and drinks were excellent and the room was in the middle-range of their offerings, just what we needed. Staff were kind, social, and efficient. If you're attending a concert onsite, you could not ask for anything more convenient or fun -- we attended a Thursday evening show, but enjoyed the music from Wednesday on our patio! That said, they do a phenomenal job of managing noise. By 10:30pm you'd have no idea that anything had been going on. Total peace. We also loved the Shelter Island vibe, which has become more robust over the years! We walked for coffee, ice cream, oysters and enjoyed the costal vibe.

This is a beautiful little hidden gem! Located on Shelter Island, with grounds beautifully groomed and maintained in a very tropical setting, which made us feel as though we were in Hawaii! We loved the architecture with a Polynesian design, and though you can tell it is older, it has been very well maintained. We brought our 2 granddaughters, 16 and 17 yrs old with us to escape the heat (110 degree heat wave) in the Menifee area and it was just a wonderful getaway which they also enjoyed greatly! I give the staff a 10 as they were there to serve and provide for your needs or requests readily and they did so with great attitudes and ready smiles! Something this world is very short of at the moment……Kuddos to the management of this hotel!

The hotel grounds are beautiful in a retro way, and Shelter Island is a nice location with a certain charm. The little pool and hot tub was nice. We didn't have a view room, but we walked along the lawn in front of those rooms and the view of the boats and harbor was nice. The beds were comfy, it was quiet, it's a nice hotel. But - we have stayed in SD easily 40-50 times and this hotel is VERY expensive. You pay for parking, for a "resort" fee (it is not a resort), etc. The total cost was almost $100 more than appears when you initially pay. It's clean and pretty, but I don't think we'd stay again.

Loved the property! Our family of five were very comfortable in our suite with a garden view. We loved having a kitchen. Having lived in San Diego in the past, I'm always looking for new areas to stay when visiting and this was my first stay on Shelter Island/Point Loma. It was perfect! We had a rental car while staying the week and went all over the area. I loved the pool, pool bar, decor, atmosphere and the free bike use!
